Valley Boardwalk 2021

A boardwalk is being built for a trail extension in the Valley Reforestation area. Chuck and volunteer Don McCormick have been doing most of the work, and volunteering other days on the project have been Neal Wilson, Don Wyatt, Dick Kneip and Sandra White. The total length of the board walk is now approximately 570 ln. ft. and ranges from 18” to 10 ft. off the ground at the stairway. Aggregate will be added to the east end and connect to SW Peale and crossing the road onto the Harry Stone Memorial Trail. Another 95 linear ft. of boardwalk was added to the east end to make sure the water doesn’t wash the aggregate trail during big storms.
